Thank you for your patience while we retrieve your images.

Taking photos at carnivals and fairs has become an extension of my passion for street photography. Edgy, moody, somber or surreal are adjectives that could describe these images. As the night wears on, the glare of the florescent lights creates a stark landscape in the enveloping darkness. The remaining people and bored carnies become props against the backdrop of shapes, shadows and patterns. My focus in selecting images is on telling a story and showing behaviors and interactions. Expressions, emotions, gestures, body language that show how we relate to each other and our surroundings are the subjects of my images.

Several of these photos were exhibited 2019 at The Delaplane (Frederick, MD), and in 2022 as part of a twp-person exhibit at Artspace Gallery (Richmond, VA), CameraWork Gallery (Scranton, PA) and Art Association of Harrisburg (PA)
